About the Role

Target is hiring for Data Analyst Jobs in Bangalore for candidates with analytical and technical skills. The Data Analyst role requires experience with SQL, data analysis, data mining, visualization and problem-solving.

Candidates will work with business and technical teams to understand objectives, analyze data and communicate findings through clear and understandable insights.

The position also involves knowledge of statistical analysis, A/B testing, forecasting and time-series concepts. Experience with tools such as SQL, Excel, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Python, R, Domo and Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics can be relevant to this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and consolidate data to support business objectives and project workstreams.
• Write complex SQL queries and work with data from different sources.
• Apply descriptive and basic inferential statistics to support conclusions.
• Create data visualizations and communicate analytical findings clearly.
• Work with business and technical teams to understand measurement requirements.
• Support measurement of business objectives and key results.
• Apply knowledge of A/B testing, time-series analysis and forecasting models.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 1+ year as a Data Analyst with strong academic performance in a quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• Technical Skills: Intermediate SQL, Excel, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Python, R, Domo, Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics and equivalent technologies.
• Industry Knowledge: Data analytics, data mining, statistical analysis, A/B testing, forecasting and time-series analysis.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving and data curiosity.
• Additional Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams.

Eligibility Criteria

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of Data Analyst experience or strong equivalent experience.
• Experience writing complex SQL queries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with data mining, data creation and data consolidation.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization.
• Knowledge of A/B testing, time-series analysis and forecasting.
• Strong communication skills.
