About the Opportunity
Verizon Analyst II Threat Intel Jobs offer an opportunity for cybersecurity professionals to work with Verizon Cyber Security (VCS) and contribute to protecting enterprise systems, applications, networks and cloud environments. The Analyst II-Threat Intel position is available in Chennai and Hyderabad, India, and focuses on exposure and vulnerability management as part of Verizon’s Cyber Defense Engineering team.

What the Candidate Will Do
The selected candidate will contribute to Verizon’s Exposure & Vulnerability Management (EVM) activities and help protect enterprise systems from evolving cybersecurity threats.
Key responsibilities include:
- Configure, schedule and maintain enterprise vulnerability scanning tools.
- Perform vulnerability assessments across networks, cloud environments and application layers.
- Analyze scan results and validate identified vulnerabilities.
- Filter false positives and prioritize remediation according to risk.
- Use factors such as CVSS severity, threat intelligence, asset criticality and business impact when evaluating vulnerabilities.
- Work with IT, software engineering and cloud infrastructure teams to coordinate vulnerability remediation.
- Develop and automate vulnerability management workflows.
- Integrate security checks into existing processes.
- Create executive-level and operational reports covering risk posture and remediation SLAs.
- Monitor zero-day vulnerabilities, exploit techniques and industry mitigation strategies.
- Use threat intelligence to support proactive cybersecurity defense.
