Key Responsibilities
Perform end-to-end testing across Xactly’s products and features to ensure the highest quality standards.
Develop comprehensive test strategies, detailed test plans, and precise test cases aligned with product requirements.
Execute manual and automated testing processes, identify defects, and ensure timely bug reporting.
Collaborate closely with development, product management, and QE teams to deliver error-free releases.
Gain proficiency in test automation frameworks and integrate testing tools into CI/CD pipelines.
Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Contribute to continuous process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and reduce production defects.
Learn and implement best QA practices to maintain high product reliability.
Conduct root cause analyses (RCA) for production issues and recommend corrective measures.
Take ownership of assigned features or modules and ensure thorough validation.
Required Skills
Strong understanding of software testing principles, QA methodologies, and testing life cycles.
Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java.
Solid knowledge of SQL for database testing and validation.
Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies and iterative development processes.
Ability to design test plans, develop test cases, and execute them systematically.
Good analytical skills to identify issues quickly and propose logical solutions.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and frameworks rapidly.
Basic understanding of web-based applications and APIs.
Commitment to maintaining high quality standards and meeting deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Maven, or RestAssured.
Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Docker.
Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter.
Understanding of SaaS-based architectures and cloud platforms.
Ability to work in virtualized environments like VMware or OpenNebula.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or JavaScript.
Previous internship or project experience in software quality assurance.
Awareness of defect management tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
Basic understanding of networking concepts and browser-based testing.
