Key Responsibilities
As a System Analyst – IT at Flex, you will play a critical role in maintaining and developing IT applications, ensuring system reliability, and providing innovative business solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with key stakeholders to design and implement application systems aligned with business requirements and long-term strategies.
Ensuring developed products and software solutions meet all functional specifications, customer needs, and operational requirements.
Performing rigorous solution testing, quality assurance (QA), and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure smooth implementation.
Partnering with internal business teams to evaluate, identify, and select appropriate technology vendors and applications that align with organizational needs.
Working closely with database administrators to manage server migrations, optimize database performance, and support operating system upgrades without disrupting operations.
Troubleshooting application issues, researching code errors, and implementing efficient fixes to maintain uninterrupted workflow.
Maintaining and upgrading existing software systems while integrating new technologies, frameworks, and UI enhancements to improve performance.
Creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation including coding processes, testing results, change logs, and troubleshooting guides.
Providing technical support to end users, conducting training sessions when necessary, and ensuring seamless system adoption.
Responding to and resolving business-critical P1 incidents to minimize downtime and maintain operational stability.
Required Skills
To succeed as a System Analyst – IT at Flex, candidates must possess strong technical and analytical capabilities, including:
Solid understanding of software development methodologies, application lifecycle management, and enterprise IT processes.
Hands-on experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing application performance.
Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and adherence to SOLID principles.
Familiarity with source control and collaboration tools such as Git, TFS, or equivalent repositories.
Foundational knowledge in database tuning, server administration, and performance optimization techniques.
Strong ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, project managers, and business stakeholders.
Competence in technical documentation creation and version control management.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide clear, practical solutions.
Proficiency in basic office tools, including spreadsheets, word processors, and presentation software for reporting and communication purposes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
Preferred Skills
Candidates with additional expertise and exposure will have an advantage. Preferred skills include:
Experience working with enterprise applications such as BaaN, Flex Flow, RedPrairie, webMethods, MuleSoft, and .NET SQL technologies.
Knowledge of application security principles and experience fixing security vulnerabilities in software applications.
Understanding of modern UI/UX frameworks and experience implementing user-friendly interfaces.
Familiarity with automated testing tools, unit testing frameworks, and system integration testing.
Prior involvement in creating and managing software-machine interfaces.
Experience in global IT operations or large-scale enterprise manufacturing environments.
Ability to estimate project timelines, resources, and costs accurately for planning and execution.
Knowledge of best practices for IT security, compliance standards, and industry regulations.
Proficiency in preparing comprehensive technical manuals, instructional guides, and system documentation.
Hands-on experience with system upgrades, database migrations, and large-scale software deployments.
