Design and implement scalable data pipelines for ingesting and processing large volumes of structured and unstructured automotive data
Develop a robust data factory to automate the ingestion and refresh of core datasets that feed forecasting models
Ensure data integrity through implementation of validation and quality assurance processes across data workflows
Collaborate with analysts to translate business needs into technical data models
Assist machine learning engineers and data scientists with clean, structured data for modeling purposes
Work on enhancing existing data infrastructure to support new client-facing features and analytical capabilities
Optimize data workflows and storage strategies for cloud environments
Research and evaluate new tools and technologies to improve performance and scalability of the data ecosystem
Participate in planning and development of mathematical models for vehicle and powertrain forecasting
Document data workflows, architectural decisions, and ETL logic for internal teams and stakeholders
Required Skills
1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or ETL development
Expertise in writing efficient SQL queries and working with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
Strong Python programming skills with proven experience using data libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and PySpark
Good understanding of cloud computing platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Experience in designing data pipelines, data lakes, and batch or real-time data processing systems
Familiarity with version control tools such as Git and experience working in collaborative code environments
Solid understanding of data governance, validation rules, and security compliance practices
Ability to analyze complex datasets and troubleshoot data issues independently
Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to work in cross-functional teams
A growth mindset and eagerness to stay updated with emerging technologies in data engineering
Preferred Skills
Experience working in the automotive sector or familiarity with automotive datasets
Knowledge of orchestration frameworks such as Apache Airflow or Luigi
Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with data warehouse and data lake platforms like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery
Prior experience working with streaming data tools like Apache Kafka or Spark Streaming
Understanding of MLOps practices and experience supporting machine learning teams
Experience working with REST APIs and third-party data integrations
Exposure to data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js for internal reporting
Strong mathematical foundation with exposure to modeling techniques
Experience in building dashboards for internal analytics and business teams
