Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures for large-scale data operations

  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) structured and unstructured data using industry-standard tools

  • Conduct data cleansing, validation, and preprocessing to ensure data quality and integrity

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define reporting requirements

  • Design and build dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using SQL and visualization tools

  • Analyze insurance data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights

  • Build reusable scripts and automation processes for data extraction and analysis

  • Contribute to architecture decisions for data management and pipeline optimization

  • Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security standards

  • Work closely with stakeholders to deliver business intelligence and analytical solutions


Required Skills
  • Strong command of SQL for data manipulation, aggregation, joins, and subqueries

  • Proficient in developing complex stored procedures, triggers, and database functions

  • Experience with ETL tools and workflows for data migration and transformation

  • Data preprocessing and cleansing skills for both structured and unstructured datasets

  • Expertise in Excel for advanced functions, pivot tables, and data analysis

  • Knowledge of life insurance industry reporting and data formats

  • Hands-on experience in data analytics tools such as Python and R

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate data needs into business value

  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate and insightful reports


Preferred Skills
  • Prior experience working in the insurance or financial services domain

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView

  • Understanding of database tuning and performance optimization techniques

  • Experience in writing technical documentation and data dictionaries

  • Exposure to cloud-based database platforms such as Azure SQL or AWS RDS

  • Working knowledge of scripting languages (Shell, Bash) for automation

  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance in BFSI

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and collaboration tools

  • Certifications in SQL development, ETL tools, or data analytics platforms

  • Awareness of AI and machine learning concepts for future data integration
