Develop, test, and maintain high-performance Java-based applications
Collaborate across teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable code
Analyze requirements, perform design, coding, testing, and deployment
Work on distributed systems and multithreaded applications
Participate in code reviews, architecture decisions, and system integration
Communicate with global stakeholders including business users and technologists
Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using REST, SOAP, and messaging frameworks
Follow Agile methodology and contribute to regular sprint cycles
Troubleshoot and resolve software issues and performance bottlenecks
Ensure compliance with development standards and best practices
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Java and Java-based frameworks
Proficiency in building RESTful services and working with SOAP/XML APIs
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
Experience in multithreaded programming and building scalable systems
Familiarity with database design and writing SQL queries
Exposure to agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
Effective communication and collaboration skills in a global delivery environment
Ability to work closely with business users and understand functional requirements
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver under pressure
Sound knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, or other enterprise Java frameworks
Experience with messaging platforms like MQ
Familiarity with job scheduling tools like Autosys
Background in financial services or investment banking is a strong advantage
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
Working knowledge of version control systems like Git
Understanding of microservices architecture
Experience with testing tools like JUnit, TestNG, or Selenium
Previous work in a globally distributed team structure
Experience with containerized environments using Docker or Kubernetes
