Develop, maintain, and execute automated test strategies using Cypress or Playwright.
Contribute to defining quality engineering (QE) methodologies, tools, and processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand solution architecture and integration points.
Analyze requirements and design effective test plans and test cases.
Participate in weekly QE team meetings, planning sessions, and status updates.
Identify, report, and track bugs and anomalies using standard tracking systems.
Provide timely test results and quality metrics to product and engineering leadership.
Support the team in performing performance testing and validating APIs.
Contribute to overall product quality by following software testing best practices.
Maintain documentation related to test strategies, test execution, and bug lifecycle.
Required Skills
2+ years of experience in quality engineering or software testing.
Strong understanding of UI automation tools like Cypress or Playwright.
Hands-on programming experience in Java or Python.
Good knowledge of API testing, HTTP protocols, and web performance evaluation.
Solid understanding of software testing concepts, SDLC, and STLC.
Familiarity with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in testing environments.
Ability to work in a fast-paced agile development environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration and reporting.
Ability to adapt to changing technology landscapes and new tools.
Preferred Skills
Experience working in open source software environments.
Familiarity with Linux OS, Bash scripting, and shell commands.
Understanding of container technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Knowledge of version control tools such as Git.
Hands-on experience with test result reporting tools and dashboards.
Ability to collaborate with global teams and across different time zones.
Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
Participation in open source communities or contributions to GitHub projects.
Familiarity with Agile testing tools like Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
Certification in Software Testing (ISTQB) or Automation Tools (Cypress/Selenium).
