Key Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
  • Participate in structured graduate rotations or work directly with specific desks in HSBC’s Markets division.

  • Collaborate with senior traders, structurers, and quantitative analysts in dynamic work environments.

  • Perform financial modeling, product pricing, and structured product analysis.

  • Support teams in Business Management, Client Intelligence, and Equity Product Structuring.

  • Contribute to Market Microstructure Research and develop electronic trading strategies.

  • Conduct analytics related to Financial Resource Optimization and Counterparty Exposure.

  • Engage in transformation and change management projects across various business units.

  • Present findings and business insights to stakeholders and leadership teams.

  • Assist in developing and improving quantitative models, processes, and tools.

  • Work cross-functionally with global teams, adhering to HSBC’s compliance and ethical standards.


Required Skills
Essential Capabilities
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in hybrid work settings.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Eagerness to learn about financial markets, trading, and structured products.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset with adaptability to fast-paced environments.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling techniques.

  • High level of responsibility, organization, and teamwork.

  • Willingness to relocate to Bangalore and primarily work from the office.

  • Cultural sensitivity and openness to collaborating across global teams.

  • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.


Preferred Skills

  • Prior internship experience in finance, banking, or analytics.

  • Familiarity with Python, R, or any programming language used in data analysis.

  • Basic understanding of capital markets, derivatives, and investment banking.

  • Knowledge of structured products and market microstructure concepts.

  • Exposure to tools like Bloomberg, Reuters, or trading platforms.

  • Understanding of SQL or database management systems.

  • Interest in automation, electronic trading, or risk modeling.

  • Ability to work in agile environments or exposure to project management tools.

  • Certifications in finance, business analytics, or financial risk (e.g., CFA, FRM, Tableau).

  • Awareness of global economic trends and their impact on markets.
