Key Responsibilities
As an Advanced Data Analyst at Sidel, you will join the Advanced Data Analytics team and work closely with mechanical experts, software engineers, and service technicians to transform raw data into actionable insights. Your main responsibilities include:
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather, interpret, and analyze large datasets from industrial machinery and production systems.
Designing and implementing advanced statistical models and data mining techniques to extract meaningful patterns and trends.
Applying machine learning models to support predictive maintenance and process optimization.
Interpreting analytical results within the context of mechanical system behavior.
Creating dashboards and visualizations using Power BI or other tools to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Identifying performance anomalies and translating them into root-cause hypotheses and solutions.
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by offering data-driven insights to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
Automating repetitive data analysis tasks through scripting and model deployment.
Preparing comprehensive reports that highlight trends, outliers, and actionable findings.
Contributing to the development of a data-driven culture across teams at Sidel.
Required Skills
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following essential skills and qualifications:
Advanced proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience in libraries like Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and Scikit-learn.
Strong command of SQL for querying large datasets across relational databases.
Solid understanding of data mining, statistical analysis, and probabilistic modeling.
Experience in building and maintaining Power BI dashboards or similar data visualization platforms.
Ability to interpret data in the context of engineering systems and translate findings into actionable strategies.
Knowledge of predictive analytics and machine learning algorithms applicable to real-world manufacturing data.
Analytical thinking combined with a practical understanding of engineering processes and technical documentation.
Strong communication skills and ability to present complex data insights in a clear and structured manner.
Proficiency in handling structured and unstructured data across various data sources.
Capability to work in a cross-functional team environment involving both engineering and IT stakeholders.
Preferred Skills

Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment.
Familiarity with IoT platforms, sensor data analysis, or edge computing.
Understanding of mechanical or mechatronic systems and their performance parameters.
Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or other cloud-based data platforms.
Experience with big data tools such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
Certification in Data Science, Data Analytics, or Machine Learning from recognized platforms (e.g., Coursera, edX, Google).
Exposure to DevOps practices or scripting languages like R, MATLAB, or Bash.
Knowledge of data governance best practices, data integrity, and validation protocols.
Basic familiarity with time-series forecasting and anomaly detection techniques.
