Key Responsibilities
As a Datamart and Reporting Analytics Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making through the development of dashboards, datamarts, and reporting solutions. Responsibilities include:
Interacting with team leads and stakeholders to gather, interpret, and document requirements related to data visualization and reporting needs.
Designing and developing technical solutions using Tableau or PowerBI based on business requirements.
Writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for use in dashboards and reports.
Creating wireframes for dashboards and obtaining stakeholder approval before development.
Building and maintaining visual reports and dashboards that are interactive, user-friendly, and business-focused.
Performing in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support decision-making.
Translating business requirements into technical specifications and visual components.
Documenting the data models, reporting logic, and visualization layouts for future reference.
Collaborating with other team members and global clients throughout the software development life cycle.
Ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions while managing multiple assignments and deadlines.
Required Skills
To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate technical proficiency, a commitment to quality, and strong communication skills. Essential skills include:
Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
Proficiency in SQL and experience in building complex queries, views, and stored procedures.
Solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling principles.
Experience working with at least one of the following database systems: SQL Server, Azure SQL, or PostgreSQL.
Ability to create dashboards that are both visually appealing and functionally robust.
Analytical thinking to perform data analysis and extract insights from large datasets.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to follow a structured development methodology and participate in all phases of the SDLC.
Excellent documentation skills to maintain knowledge of systems and reporting processes.
Adaptability to learn and implement new technologies and tools as needed.
Preferred Skills
While not mandatory, the following skills will enhance a candidate’s profile and add value to the role:
Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, ETL pipelines, or SSIS.
Exposure to cloud technologies and architecture, particularly in Microsoft Azure environments.
Knowledge of scripting languages like Python for data transformation or automation.
Understanding of Agile development processes and tools like JIRA or Confluence.
Experience in performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and dashboards.
Awareness of data governance principles and data quality best practices.
Prior experience in building executive-level dashboards with KPI tracking and forecasting features.
Participation in analytics competitions or contributions to open-source dashboarding projects.
Ability to work with unstructured or semi-structured data and integrate multiple data sources.
Cross-functional project experience or collaboration with business intelligence teams in a global setup.
