As an ML Data Associate-II, you will work on high-priority machine learning projects, contributing to the development of generative AI and large language models (LLMs) by labeling and analyzing datasets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately annotate and label data (text, speech, audio, image, and video) using proprietary Amazon tools

  • Follow detailed instructions and guidelines to maintain quality and consistency

  • Ensure data confidentiality and comply with internal security protocols

  • Analyze patterns and errors in data and suggest workflow improvements

  • Work on multiple projects and switch between task types when required

  • Participate in peer reviews and support quality-check initiatives

  • Meet individual productivity goals and team-wide KPIs

  • Assist team members with interpretation of labeling guidelines

  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in SOPs and share feedback with leads

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ML data operations


Required Skills
  • Strong command of written and spoken English with advanced reading comprehension

  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in data management, content tagging, or labeling

  • Ability to understand and apply structured task guidelines independently

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to detect and fix inconsistencies in datasets

  • Capable of working on repetitive tasks while maintaining high quality

  • Familiarity with spreadsheets, content management systems, and digital tools

  • Logical thinking and basic analytical problem-solving skills

  • Self-driven, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines

  • Comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment

  • Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills


Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical field such as CS, IT, Data Science, or Linguistics

  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts, NLP, or computer vision

  • Experience with tools like Amazon SageMaker, Labelbox, or AWS Comprehend

  • Knowledge of AI data pipelines and how labeled data feeds model training

  • Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization/reporting tools

  • Working knowledge of Python or SQL is a plus (not mandatory)

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and changes in work scope or instruction

  • Prior experience in a QA, annotation, or AI training data role

  • Ability to identify automation opportunities in manual processes

  • Exposure to agile environments and collaborative team tools (Jira, Confluence)
