IBM is hiring for a Data Scientist-Artificial Intelligence position in Bangalore, Karnataka. The role is part of IBM Consulting and focuses on developing AI-driven solutions for clients across different industries.

The IBM Data Scientist Jobs opportunity is suitable for experienced professionals with strong knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing and advanced analytics. Candidates will work with modern AI technologies, including foundation models and large language models, while helping clients address business and technical challenges.

The position involves working through an IBM Consulting Client Innovation Center, where technical and industry expertise is delivered to public and private sector clients. The role also involves collaboration with stakeholders to identify business problems and develop practical AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver AI solutions with a focus on foundation models and large language models.
• Develop cognitive solutions that process structured and unstructured data.
• Apply NLP, machine learning, image processing, video processing, voice processing or Watson technologies where relevant.
• Use Python and AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras and Hugging Face to develop AI models.
• Manage the complete AI project lifecycle from research and prototyping through production deployment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business challenges and create AI-driven solutions.
• Apply advanced analytics techniques to structured data and support business decision-making.
• Work with cloud platforms, databases and related technologies as part of AI solution development.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Experience: 8–10 years of experience.
• Technical Skills: Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Hugging Face, NLP, machine learning, foundation models and large language models.
• Cloud & Databases: Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP, SQL, PostgreSQL, DB2 and MongoDB.
• Analytics Libraries: Scikit-learn, Pandas and Matplotlib.
• Modern UI: Familiarity with Backbone.js, AngularJS, React.js, Ember.js, Bootstrap and jQuery is preferred.
• Operating Systems: Knowledge of Linux, Windows, iOS and Android is preferred.
• Additional Tools: Experience with GitHub Copilot and Amazon CodeWhisperer is mentioned in the job description.

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Master’s Degree is preferred.
• Candidates should have 8–10 years of experience.
• Strong Python programming skills are required.
• Experience with AI and machine learning frameworks is required.
