Key Responsibilities

As a Test Engineer I at TechnipFMC, you will be part of a highly skilled team focused on the testing and quality assurance of mechanical and electrical components. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our energy equipment and systems meet global standards for performance, safety, and reliability.

  • Conduct product and component testing in accordance with engineering documentation, test procedures, and industry standards.

  • Collaborate with design and production teams to create and execute test plans that validate product functionality and performance.

  • Operate and maintain testing equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic tools and systems.

  • Log, analyze, and interpret test data using statistical tools and prepare detailed reports for internal stakeholders.

  • Document any deviations from expected results, identify root causes, and participate in corrective/preventive action processes.

  • Assist in the development of new testing techniques and protocols for innovative product lines.

  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards during test activities.

  • Provide feedback to the design and manufacturing teams based on test outcomes to improve future product iterations.

  • Maintain accurate testing records and documentation to meet auditing and quality assurance requirements.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the testing department and contribute ideas for efficiency improvements.


Required Skills

TechnipFMC is looking for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about quality engineering, testing, and making meaningful contributions to product development. You are ideal for this role if you have a strong foundation in engineering fundamentals and a genuine curiosity about how things work.

  • Good understanding of mechanical or electrical systems and testing principles.

  • Familiarity with engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.

  • Ability to plan, perform, and document functional and performance tests.

  • Hands-on experience with basic measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, multimeters, etc.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot issues based on test data.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel for data analysis.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements and deadlines.

  • Self-motivated team player with strong time-management abilities.


Preferred Skills

While not mandatory, the following additional skills or experiences will give candidates a competitive edge:

  • Exposure to automated test systems and test benches.

  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems testing.

  • Familiarity with testing standards like ISO, API, or ASME.

  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes like FMEA, CAPA, and root cause analysis.

  • Prior internship or academic project work related to product testing or quality control.

  • Use of data acquisition systems for logging test measurements.

  • Working knowledge of LabVIEW, MATLAB, or similar tools for test data interpretation.

  • Understanding of Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.

  • Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT), NDT Level I/II, or equivalent.

  • Basic programming or scripting skills to support automated test procedures.
