We are looking for a Software Engineer I to join our Bangalore office. This role is part of our Billing Platform team, which handles invoicing, payments, compliance, and customer lifecycle.
You will work on projects that touch every part of Rippling’s business. From customer onboarding to subscription management, you will help design and maintain systems that support rapid growth.
This role is a great opportunity for engineers with 1–2 years of experience. You’ll work closely with senior developers, gain exposure to distributed systems, and help build solutions used worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer I at Rippling, you will play a key role in shaping the Billing Platform. This system manages everything from customer onboarding to compliance, payments, and churn management.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Build and Collaborate
Work with product and engineering teams to design and deliver features.
Build systems that are robust, efficient, and scalable.
Debug and Solve Problems
Analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and fix them quickly.
Ensure that customers have a smooth experience when using Rippling’s services.
Maintain and Improve Code
Write clean and maintainable code.
Participate in code reviews and follow best practices to keep quality high.
Innovate and Add Value
Contribute fresh ideas for new product features.
Support global expansion by adapting systems to new countries, tax rules, and payment methods.
Support Compliance
Work with finance and audit teams to make sure systems are secure.
Handle processes that involve more than $400M in SaaS fees.
Contribute to Analytics
Build data pipelines that calculate metrics like ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue).
Provide insights that help leadership shape strategy.
Keep Learning
Take part in training, mentorship, and workshops.
Grow your technical and problem-solving skills while contributing to real projects.

Required Skills
To do well in this role, you should bring:
