As a Software Engineer in the Windows Connected Experiences team, your role will include:
Collaborating with stakeholders to determine user requirements for cross-device scenarios
Designing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining scalable code solutions
Creating and maintaining high-quality code that improves performance and reliability
Participating in debugging and refactoring existing modules to enhance system stability
Contributing to cross-platform feature development across Windows and mobile ecosystems
Ensuring consistent monitoring, reliability, and observability for deployed products
Applying industry best practices to create efficient and reusable components
Proactively learning and adapting to new technologies and engineering trends
Contributing to code reviews and team discussions to foster knowledge sharing
Working in an agile development environment with continuous integration and delivery
Required Skills
The ideal candidate must have strong technical foundations and an eagerness to solve real-world problems. Key required skills include:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals including algorithms and data structures
Experience with debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and participate in agile ceremonies
Excellent problem-solving and logical thinking skills
Knowledge of software development best practices and coding standards
Passion for building seamless and user-friendly cross-device experiences
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to take initiative and continuously learn
Preferred Skills
While not mandatory, the following skills and experiences will be a plus:
Experience working on cross-platform mobile or desktop applications
Familiarity with Windows APIs, UWP, or mobile device integration
Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
Exposure to telemetry, monitoring, and diagnostics tools
Background in developing cloud-connected or client-server applications
Experience contributing to large-scale systems or distributed applications
Knowledge of accessibility, localization, and global application readiness
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or Azure DevOps
Involvement in open-source contributions or personal tech projects
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology
