Key Responsibilities
As a Data Engineer at HTC Global Services, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions that power our clients’ analytics and decision-making capabilities. Your primary duties will include:
Developing and maintaining ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Python, and PySpark to process, transform, and integrate large-scale datasets.
Writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex SQL queries in a SQL Server environment for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
Performing data validation and quality checks in data warehousing environments to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
Collaborating with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable and efficient technical solutions.
Troubleshooting ETL issues, analyzing anomalies, and resolving data quality concerns with precision and speed.
Leveraging ETL templates and reusable code libraries to maintain consistency, reduce redundancy, and improve workflow efficiency.
Using advanced Excel techniques to perform detailed data analysis in support of reporting and decision-making processes.
Ensuring that all data engineering solutions adhere to security, compliance, and performance standards.
Preparing and maintaining comprehensive documentation, best practices, and training materials for internal teams.
Proactively identifying opportunities to optimize data architecture and improve performance, scalability, and maintainability of existing systems.
Required Skills
Strong proficiency in SQL with proven ability to write and optimize complex queries.
Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory for orchestrating and managing ETL workflows.
Expertise in Azure Databricks and PySpark for processing and analyzing large datasets.
Demonstrated ability to debug, troubleshoot, and enhance ETL pipelines in a production environment.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data analysis features.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with data modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling and star schema design.
Experience in integrating data from multiple source systems into centralized repositories.
Understanding of cloud security principles related to data storage, processing, and transfer.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for automating data engineering workflows.
Exposure to big data frameworks and streaming data solutions.
