Key Responsibilities
As a Grid Solutions Graduate Engineer, you will be enrolled in a rigorous 24-month rotational graduate program structured to expose you to various business functions and engineering disciplines. The program provides hands-on experience in four major areas of Grid Solutions:
High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC): Gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies involved in high-voltage transmission systems that enable long-distance, efficient power transfer with minimal losses.
High Voltage Switchgear (HVS): Work on the design, testing, and implementation of critical switchgear equipment essential for safe and reliable grid operation.
Power Transformers: Learn the intricacies of transformer design, testing, and performance optimization to support power distribution at scale.
Grid Automation: Understand automation systems and digital tools that help improve grid stability, monitoring, and real-time control.
In your rotations, you will:
Participate in engineering studies, design activities, simulations, and validation tests.
Engage in laboratory experiments, field commissioning, and performance analysis at project sites globally.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams worldwide to execute group projects that culminate in presentations and reports to senior management, fostering your leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Receive mentorship from senior technical experts who will guide you through complex engineering concepts and real-world challenges.
Utilize software tools such as Matlab/Simulink, Creo, Ansys, PSCAD, AutoCAD, and embedded C/C++ programming to analyze and develop solutions.
Apply problem-solving techniques, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.
Adhere strictly to quality, safety, and project timelines while demonstrating accountability and professionalism.

Required Skills
To be successful in this role, candidates should have:
A solid understanding of core electrical engineering concepts, including power systems, power electronics, and high voltage engineering.
Proficiency or working knowledge of simulation and design tools such as Matlab/Simulink, Creo, Ansys, PSCAD, and AutoCAD.
Basic programming skills in C/C++ and familiarity with embedded or real-time systems.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively in a diverse, global environment.
Self-motivation, curiosity, and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently, maintaining high-quality work under pressure.
