Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable code using Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Train and fine-tune AI models through both supervised learning and reinforcement learning techniques.
Conduct model evaluations to benchmark AI performance and provide detailed analysis and reasoning.
Create and curate high-quality datasets to improve model accuracy and performance.
Evaluate AI-generated responses against predefined criteria to ensure alignment with user intent.
Collaborate closely with researchers and engineers to execute Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) and Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF).
Build and refine reward models based on qualitative and quantitative user feedback.
Participate in code reviews, test planning, and debugging to ensure delivery of high-quality software.
Lead or contribute to the design of new evaluation frameworks and methodologies.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in AI/ML and apply them to ongoing projects.
Required Skills
Proficiency in both Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, including ES6+ features.
Experience with modern web frameworks such as Node.js, NestJS, React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Solid understanding of modular architecture, test-driven development, and secure coding principles.
Clear and maintainable coding practices with the ability to document and annotate code effectively.
Experience building scalable, high-performance applications using best practices in full-stack development.
Working knowledge of Docker is mandatory for development and deployment.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
Demonstrated experience in building, deploying, or maintaining production-grade applications.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and deliver high-quality results on time.
Availability to commit at least 20 hours per week with 4-hour overlap with PST time zone.
Preferred Skills
Prior experience with evaluation workflows for AI models, especially in areas like model alignment or prompt engineering.
Familiarity with Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF) pipelines and reward modeling techniques.
Exposure to working with large-scale datasets and annotation tools for supervised fine-tuning.
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and version control best practices.
Understanding of LLM architecture, prompting strategies, and performance tuning in ChatGPT, Claude, or similar models.
Background in QA/testing or test automation frameworks (Jest, Mocha, etc.) is a plus.
Strong understanding of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Prior involvement in remote-first or asynchronous engineering teams.
Open-source contributions in the AI/ML, full-stack, or developer tooling space.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially in ambiguous technical scenarios.
