We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Analyst in Chennai to join WPP Media’s data team. In this role, you will bridge business requirements and technical solutions for our state-of-the-art media data lake on Azure. You will collaborate with stakeholders, data engineers, and architects to ensure data is accurate, complete, and aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document data requirements by collaborating with business users and product managers.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data mapping and transformation rules.
- Work closely with Data Engineers and Architects to support the design and development of the media data lake.
- Perform data profiling, analysis, and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency within Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers of medallion architecture.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data sources, models, flows, and business logic.
- Assist in testing activities and create test plans to confirm solutions meet business requirements.
- Support stakeholders with ad-hoc reporting and data discovery queries.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhance data quality.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, and cloud-based data services.
- Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing principles, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Knowledge of medallion architecture and data lake concepts.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the media/advertising industry.
