Key Responsibilities
As an Associate QA Engineer, Software, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. Your responsibilities include:
Developing, modifying, and executing detailed software test plans, automated scripts, and programs.
Debugging software products, documenting issues, and supporting resolution.
Preparing and maintaining comprehensive test scenarios and test cases for functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing.
Participating in exploratory gameplay sessions to identify new test scenarios and validate features.
Tracking and reporting defects using tools like JIRA, qTest, and ensuring timely resolution with developers and project managers.
Ensuring software releases meet regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and defined game quality benchmarks.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide feedback and improve software quality.
Maintaining test environments and performing ad-hoc, smoke, and sanity testing as needed.
Supporting continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.
This position allows hands-on experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) practices.
Required Skills
Candidates should have:
Understanding of SDLC, STLC, QA methodologies, and testing tools.
Ability to prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases.
Experience or exposure to black box, regression, integration, system, smoke, and sanity testing.
Proficiency in documenting and reproducing software issues.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, qTest.
Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies, frameworks, and tools.
A proactive attitude toward challenges and delivering high-quality results.
Preferred Skills
ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
Hands-on experience with automation testing tools.
Knowledge of gaming applications or interactive content testing.
Exposure to performance, load, or security testing.
Understanding of database validation, SQL queries, and data integrity checks.
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
