Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of EY Global Independence policies and firm-level independence concepts.

  • Review and validate submissions, documents, and requests from client-serving and audit teams.

  • Perform reconciliation, research, and analysis using EY Independence and financial tools.

  • Update EY internal systems and databases with accurate, compliant information after review.

  • Communicate with project managers and global stakeholders to follow up on pending responses.

  • Conduct secondary research using internal and external databases to support independence assessments.

  • Identify discrepancies across systems and assist in resolving data inconsistencies.

  • Actively participate in knowledge-sharing and calibration sessions within the team.

  • Ensure compliance with defined KPIs, quality benchmarks, and turnaround timelines.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of auditor independence and risk management concepts.

  • Ability to interpret company structures, ownership models, and entity relationships.

  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint).

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to professional services, audit, compliance, or risk management roles.

  • Experience handling client interactions or global stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of internal compliance systems or financial databases.

  • Internship, project, or research experience in finance or risk-related domains.

  • Experience: 0 – 1 year
