Key Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable and high-performance data solutions on Microsoft Azure platforms.
Develop and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines, ensuring data is ingested, processed, and stored efficiently.
Utilize Azure Databricks and Azure Synapse Analytics to handle large-scale data transformations and analytics workloads.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
Write optimized Spark and Python code to process structured and unstructured data.
Build and maintain real-time and batch data ingestion frameworks with an emphasis on reliability and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with security and governance protocols including data encryption, masking, and access controls.
Monitor, debug, and resolve performance and operational issues in production data systems.
Implement CI/CD workflows for data pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git-based versioning.
Document technical designs, architectural decisions, and best practices to enable team collaboration and maintainability.
Required Skills
2 to 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Data Services.
Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, and Synapse Analytics.
In-depth understanding of Apache Spark and distributed data processing concepts.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and/or Scala.
Strong command of SQL for data querying, transformation, and performance tuning.
Experience building and managing data lakes or data warehouses in Azure.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD automation practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot data processing issues in large-scale environments.
Experience with data security best practices and compliance requirements.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
Preferred Skills
Certification in Azure Data Engineering (e.g., Microsoft DP-203).
Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, or Event Grid for workflow automation.
Exposure to data visualization tools such as Power BI.
Familiarity with real-time data processing using Kafka or Azure Event Hubs.
Knowledge of metadata management tools like Azure Purview.
Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Bicep.
Knowledge of machine learning pipeline integration within cloud environments.
Exposure to Agile methodologies, Scrum frameworks, and DevOps culture.
Experience in enterprise-level migration projects from on-premise to cloud data architecture.
Understanding of data governance frameworks, data cataloging, and auditing.
