Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Scientist – Ads at JioStar, you will play a pivotal role in designing and deploying advanced data-driven solutions for our Ad Platform. You will analyze large datasets from diverse sources, uncover trends and actionable insights, and translate them into strategies that enhance the personalized ad experience for millions of users.
Your responsibilities will include developing machine learning models, predictive analytics frameworks, and generative AI solutions to optimize ad targeting, improve campaign performance, and maximize revenue. You will forecast inventory and reach across diverse content, ranging from live sports to VOD, while ensuring seamless integration of models into production systems for real-time decision-making.
Collaboration is central to this role. You will work closely with Data Engineering, Product Management, AdTech, and Business teams to understand challenges, design solutions, and deploy end-to-end systems. Continuous evaluation of model performance, data quality, and algorithmic improvements is expected to maintain reliable, accurate, and scalable insights.
Additionally, you will design and execute A/B tests and other experimental frameworks to validate model improvements, quantify business impact, and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Staying abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning, AI, and AdTech will be key to ensuring that our advertising platform remains innovative and competitive.
Required Skills
Proven expertise in data science and machine learning, preferably within AdTech, digital marketing, or related industries.
Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and essential data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
Experience in building, deploying, and monitoring machine learning models in production systems.
Working knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and distributed computing frameworks.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Google Cloud, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, predictive modeling, and algorithm design.
Ability to leverage large language models (LLMs) and generative AI to enhance ad targeting, personalization, and campaign effectiveness.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable data science solutions.
Strong communication and presentation skills to explain complex findings to stakeholders with varying technical expertise.
Comfortable working with large-scale, high-velocity datasets and maintaining model reliability under demanding production environments.
Preferred Skills
Advanced knowledge of AdTech metrics, such as user lifetime value (LTV), conversions, engagement metrics, and campaign optimization.
Familiarity with modern experimentation frameworks and A/B testing methodologies in online advertising.
Experience in predictive inventory management, demand forecasting, and multi-channel advertising optimization.
Knowledge of reinforcement learning, personalization algorithms, and recommendation systems.
