Job Overview
Deloitte India is hiring for the position of Analyst – Technical (PL/SQL) for its Technology Consulting division, specifically to support Oracle-based projects and banking solutions. The role will be based in Mumbai and follows a hybrid working model, allowing flexibility while promoting collaboration and teamwork.
This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates or professionals with up to two years of experience in PL/SQL and data analytics. The selected candidate will work on critical banking and finance projects, including liquidity coverage ratio (LCR), net stable funding ratio (NSFR), and interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB).
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and understand requirements for various banking products such as deposits, loans, commitments, and derivatives.
Design and develop efficient Oracle PL/SQL code, including procedures, packages, and triggers.
Collaborate with senior developers and business analysts to ensure timely and accurate data processing.
Validate financial datasets to support regulatory and internal reporting needs.
Work on performance tuning and query optimization to enhance application speed and efficiency.
Participate in testing activities, including unit tests, integration tests, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Maintain up-to-date documentation of processes, scripts, and workflows.
Help prepare dashboards and visualization tools for financial reporting using third-party tools.
Follow best practices for database development and version control.
Support end-users and resolve queries related to data anomalies and reporting errors.
Required Skills
Strong understanding of Oracle PL/SQL, including stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
Ability to handle large datasets and perform data analysis using SQL.
Knowledge of financial products and instruments in the banking domain.
Good communication and collaboration skills for working with global teams.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting.
Proficiency in MS Excel and related tools.
Ability to adapt to fast-paced project timelines and changing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certification.
Internship or hands-on experience in data analysis or banking domain.
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
Knowledge of ALM (Asset Liability Management), LCR/NSFR, or IRRBB is a plus.
Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
Prior exposure to tools like OFSAA, Sungard, or similar platforms.
Basic understanding of financial regulations such as Basel III.
Familiarity with GIT, SVN, or similar version control tools.
Experience with UNIX/Linux scripting for data automation.
