Key Responsibilities

As a Systems Engineer in the food services domain, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing IT service delivery across various functions. This position is hybrid in nature and involves working with cutting-edge technologies and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Lead and manage the Change LifeCycle Management process, ensuring seamless transition during IT changes and minimizing downtime or service disruption.

  • Take charge of Incident Management, responding to technical problems promptly, diagnosing issues accurately, and implementing timely resolutions to restore normal operations.

  • Use Nexthink and other End User Tools to monitor user behavior, system performance, and application health, ensuring a top-tier user experience.

  • Provide front-line support via Service Desk channels, resolving user issues related to hardware, software, and network access with professionalism and efficiency.

  • Implement, support, and improve ServiceNow, focusing on enhancing ITSM workflows and user interaction with service portals.

  • Administer and manage Windows systems, ensuring high availability, security compliance, and timely updates across end-user devices.

  • Work closely with networking teams to ensure stable and secure network infrastructure, supporting uninterrupted user access across hybrid setups.

  • Deliver remote desktop support services, helping both in-office and remote employees resolve IT challenges without delay.

  • Understand and respond to the specific needs of the food services domain, customizing IT solutions to match operational requirements.

  • Contribute to defining, updating, and enforcing IT policies and best practices, fostering operational efficiency and compliance.


Required Skills

To succeed in this role, you must possess solid technical expertise, a proactive attitude, and strong communication abilities. The position requires a blend of troubleshooting, IT service management, and end-user support.

  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Change LifeCycle Management.

  • Proficiency in Incident Management, with a systematic approach to resolving a wide range of IT issues.

  • Familiarity with Nexthink or similar end-user monitoring tools used to improve digital experience and IT performance.

  • Experience working in a Service Desk environment, managing tickets and providing technical support to users of all levels.

  • Hands-on exposure to ServiceNow, including incident, request, and change management modules.

  • Solid understanding of Windows desktop and server environments, including OS installation, patching, and user configuration.

  • Competence in basic networking principles, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, and network troubleshooting.

  • Capability to deliver remote desktop support, ensuring users across locations receive prompt technical help.

  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to evolving technological landscapes.

  • Strong documentation skills and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement and operational excellence.


Preferred Skills

While not mandatory, these skills will help you stand out:

  • Prior experience supporting IT infrastructure in the food services or hospitality industry, understanding its fast-paced and service-centric demands.

  • Exposure to automation or scripting tools such as PowerShell or Python for task automation and system administration.

  • Familiarity with ITIL v3/v4 frameworks for IT Service Management.

  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory, group policies, and account provisioning.

  • Experience with endpoint security, antivirus systems, and patch management platforms.

  • Ability to work in a hybrid work model, balancing remote and on-site support effectively.

  • Track record of participating in or managing IT audits or compliance checks.

  • Interest in pursuing relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco).

  • Capacity to provide user training or create support documentation to aid knowledge transfer.

  • Comfortable working in multicultural, distributed teams, showcasing strong interpersonal skills.
