Key Responsibilities
As an Analyst – Data Analytics within the U.S. Consumer Services (USCS) Product Analytics team, you will play a vital role in shaping the strategy and execution of the Membership Rewards (MR) program through insightful data analysis. Your contributions will drive customer engagement, enhance loyalty offerings, and influence strategic decisions.
Analyze cardmember behavior with respect to MR earn and burn patterns to inform engagement strategies
Develop marketing insights and data-driven campaigns for improved reward program participation
Evaluate MR partner effectiveness and optimize redemption options
Communicate analytical findings through presentations, dashboards, and reports to various stakeholders
Collaborate with product managers, marketers, finance teams, and other analytics groups
Translate data into compelling business narratives to support strategic decisions
Develop and automate reporting tools using SQL, Python, and other analytics platforms
Conduct experiments and A/B testing to assess loyalty initiatives and MR offerings
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in analytics and customer loyalty
Ensure data integrity and maintain a high standard of analytical rigor across all deliverables
Required Skills
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate must have a strong quantitative foundation combined with excellent communication and business acumen.
Proficiency in SQL and data querying techniques
Working knowledge of Hive, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis
Strong understanding of statistical modeling, data mining, and predictive analytics
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for stakeholder engagement
Analytical mindset with a problem-solving attitude
Ability to synthesize large volumes of data into actionable insights
Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Solid understanding of consumer behavior analytics
Strong interest in credit card economics and loyalty programs
Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deliverables effectively
Preferred Skills
While not mandatory, possessing these skills will enhance your profile and increase your impact within the role.
Prior experience in loyalty, rewards, or charge card analytics
Knowledge of financial modeling and P&L impact analysis
Exposure to customer lifecycle analytics and churn prediction
Experience working in cross-functional agile teams
Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud for big data analytics
Familiarity with tools like Spark or Databricks
Business storytelling through data visualization and executive dashboards
Capability to mentor or guide junior analysts in technical tasks
Participation in strategic initiatives related to product development or marketing
Passion for data innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
