As an Associate Software Test Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Wolters Kluwer’s cutting-edge software products. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Software Test Automation Engineer at Wolters Kluwer, your day-to-day activities will involve both learning and applying modern automation testing practices. Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using leading tools such as Tosca, Selenium, or Playwright.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios.

  • Reusable Test Libraries: Develop and maintain reusable test components, libraries, and frameworks to ensure scalable test automation.

  • Continuous Integration & Delivery: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth execution across multiple environments.

  • Test Data Management: Prepare and manage test data, configure test environments, and monitor automation pipelines for efficient execution.

  • Defect Analysis: Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues effectively.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, scripts, and results, ensuring traceability and compliance.

  • Agile Participation: Actively engage in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.

  • Mentorship & Growth: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in QA processes and support junior team members where applicable.

  • Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends in test automation, exploring AI-driven tools and modern testing frameworks.

Required Skills

  • Bug Tracking & Reporting: Working knowledge of JIRA or similar bug/issue tracking platforms to document and manage defects.

  • Agile Collaboration: Ability to work in Agile teams, participate in sprints, and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Documentation Skills: Competence in documenting test cases, procedures, and results with clarity and precision.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on identifying inconsistencies, edge cases, and quality issues in software applications.
