Build and deploy machine learning and statistical models to prevent fraud and assess risk in real-time
Translate complex datasets into business insights using Python, SQL, and cloud tools
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, legal, operations) to develop data-driven solutions
Work on large-scale structured and unstructured datasets and optimize data pipelines
Design A/B testing strategies and measure the impact of AI/ML solutions
Monitor models post-deployment for performance degradation and retraining needs
Present analytics reports and visualization dashboards for internal stakeholders
Identify patterns and anomalies in transaction behavior to enhance fraud detection systems
Document modeling process, validation, and decisioning logic for compliance audits
Contribute to global knowledge sharing and team mentoring
Required Skills
2+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer
Proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn) and SQL
Deep understanding of statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and data preprocessing
Experience in real-world data projects such as fraud analytics, risk modeling, or behavioral analysis
Excellent data visualization and storytelling ability using tools like Tableau or Power BI
Experience with big data tools (Hive, Spark, Kafka, or Airflow)
Strong knowledge of model evaluation metrics and techniques
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle ambiguity in data and drive clarity through analysis
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skills
Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or Engineering
Experience working in a financial technology or e-commerce environment
Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Certification in machine learning or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty)
Knowledge of fraud frameworks or anomaly detection
Experience with MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, or containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
Participation in open-source AI/ML communities or Kaggle competitions
Understanding of GDPR, PCI DSS, or other compliance standards
Familiarity with NLP or text classification models
Exposure to real-time model monitoring or streaming analytics
