Key Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer I at Mastercard, you will be responsible for supporting the software development lifecycle from requirement analysis to deployment. You will work with Java and Spring Boot to build scalable, maintainable, and efficient applications.
Responsibilities include:
Designing and developing Java-based applications using Spring Boot frameworks, ensuring adherence to Mastercard coding standards.
Writing clean, efficient, and reusable code while maintaining comprehensive documentation.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers, testers, and senior engineers to deliver innovative solutions.
Developing database schemas, writing queries, and optimizing relational database performance using Oracle and PostgreSQL.
Applying object-oriented programming (OOP) principles to create modular, maintainable, and testable software.
Participating in peer code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and incorporating best practices.
Debugging and resolving technical issues efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of features and bug fixes.
Supporting software testing processes, ensuring compliance with quality assurance (QA) requirements and audit guidelines.
Researching and evaluating alternative technical solutions to meet evolving business needs.
Contributing to process improvements, documentation, and reporting of project metrics.

Required skills include:
