Manage and oversee trading and lending data related to Mortgages and Structured Products
Handle data pipelines, database management, validation, and quality control for critical financial instruments
Drive process and workflow automation to reduce manual intervention and boost trading efficiency
Build strategic reports and dashboards to assist trading desks and asset managers across asset classes
Partner with cross-functional teams like Trading, Engineering, and Risk to develop strategic data models
Collaborate with Compliance and Controllers teams to automate regulatory and business-critical reports
Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and data deliverables
Manage timelines, track progress, and ensure timely completion of analytics and reporting projects
Investigate and reconcile data discrepancies using SQL and advanced analytics
Maintain accuracy and completeness of data by leveraging ETL processes and structured validation methods
Required Skills
1–3 years of experience in data analysis, data modeling, and working with relational databases
Proficient in SQL and structured data querying
Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
Proficient in at least one programming language – preferably Python or Java
Understanding of data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView, QlikSense, or Alteryx
Excellent analytical and logical problem-solving abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder management
Team player with a high sense of ownership and accountability
Strong project management and multitasking abilities
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
Preferred Skills
Exposure to machine learning models or predictive analytics tools
Hands-on experience with RapidMiner or similar data science platforms
Familiarity with structured finance and collateralized lending concepts
Basic understanding of fixed income trading and associated risk metrics
Knowledge of finance-specific ETL and data management practices
Working knowledge of Excel at an advanced level (e.g., pivot tables, VBA)
Previous experience in the mortgage or investment banking sector
Certification in Data Analytics, Financial Modeling, or Business Intelligence
Comfort with Agile methodologies and collaborative work environments
Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements in finance is a bonus
