Key Responsibilities
As a BI Support Developer at MassMutual, you will play a vital role in supporting and maintaining the company’s BI ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting, monitoring, and troubleshooting business intelligence tools, dashboards, and reports used by global stakeholders.
Assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of Power BI dashboards, SQL queries, and reporting pipelines.
Working with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical reporting solutions.
Managing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency in reporting.
Performing data validation, data quality checks, and root-cause analysis of reporting issues.
Supporting ad-hoc reporting needs of business users and leadership teams.
Ensuring high availability and performance of BI systems by monitoring and optimizing BI queries.
Collaborating with senior developers and analysts to optimize BI workflows and introduce process improvements.
Documenting best practices, support guides, and troubleshooting steps for the BI support function.
Required Skills
Candidates applying for this BI Support Developer role should possess the following core skills:
Strong knowledge of SQL for writing queries, stored procedures, and troubleshooting data issues.
Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools for dashboard development and support.
Familiarity with ETL concepts and exposure to tools such as SSIS, Informatica, or Talend.
