Key Responsibilities
Analyze complex and high-volume datasets to deliver actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions
Design, develop, and maintain data visualizations, reports, and dashboards using Tableau and PyDash
Understand business problems and translate them into analytical frameworks and data solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, merchandising, operations, marketing, and finance
Use SQL and Python to clean, manipulate, and transform data across platforms including Hadoop and Teradata
Automate repeatable tasks, reporting processes, and dashboard refreshes using tools like Python or Alteryx
Write efficient, well-structured, and reusable code for data processing and reporting tasks
Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance across all analytical outputs
Contribute to internal knowledge repositories (e.g., GitHub or Wiki) to promote reuse and best practices
Drive continuous improvement and innovation by identifying process gaps and analytical opportunities
Required Skills
Strong working knowledge of SQL and data manipulation techniques
Proficiency in Tableau for designing dashboards and presenting data stories
Solid understanding of statistical concepts like correlation, hypothesis testing, and regression analysis
Experience with Microsoft Excel (advanced level including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and charting)
Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and tools such as Hadoop and Teradata
Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively
Understanding of business KPIs, metrics tracking, and analytical reporting frameworks
Strong time management and task prioritization skills to handle multiple projects
Experience working on cross-functional analytics projects
Detail-oriented with a passion for problem-solving and improving business performance
Preferred Skills
Hands-on experience with Alteryx for automation and data workflows
Basic to intermediate Python programming for data analysis and automation
Familiarity with Hive and distributed data systems
Prior experience in industries such as retail, telecom, hospitality, or consumer packaged goods (CPG)
Background in domains such as supply chain, customer analytics, operations, or digital transformation
Exposure to Agile or Scrum project management methodologies
Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Experience contributing to open-source or internal analytics projects via GitHub
Familiarity with self-service BI platforms and enterprise reporting tools
Understanding of Tesco processes or previous experience with global retail organizations
