Role Overview
We are looking for an Associate Business Analyst – GIS to join our GIS development team at Infosys. The role involves designing, developing, and deploying GIS solutions using ESRI ArcGIS, ArcFM, and mobile GIS platforms. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to implement GIS-based solutions, develop proof-of-concepts, and support post-deployment operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, test, and deploy solutions on ESRI ArcGIS Desktop, Telvent ArcFM, ArcGIS Server (JavaScript API, HTML5, TypeScript, Silverlight API, custom Widgets), ArcGIS Online, Web App Builder, and ArcGIS Mobile according to the defined GIS architecture.
- Develop GIS solutions based on functional specification documents and configure packages to meet project requirements.
- Create GIS-based proof-of-concepts (POCs) and prepare demos for presentation to business users.
- Design forms, workflows, and portlets, ensuring integration with required systems, and develop mobile platform solutions.
- Perform issue resolution during the support/post-Go Live phase and assist the testing team with functional testing.
- Continuously learn emerging technologies in the GIS space and help the project team with functional challenges.
Required Skills
- Expertise in GIS Product Architecture, ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, AGOL, data modeling, web services, Python scripting, and geo-processing services.
- Programming experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, and ArcGIS Mobile platform preferred.
- Strong analytical ability, interpersonal communication, and team collaboration skills.
- Open to learning new GIS technologies as required.
- Familiarity with GIS consultancy processes, solution design, and deployment methodologies.
