Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI and ML solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI to address complex healthcare challenges.
Build enterprise-grade AI software emphasizing privacy, security, fairness, and ethical AI principles.
Collaborate closely with product development teams to architect AI outputs in structured formats (JSON, arrays, HTML) for seamless dashboard integration and accelerated product cycles.
Develop extensible API integrations and low-code UI/UX tools that interface with GPT-4 and other AI models, extracting insights from diverse healthcare data sources like PDFs, CSVs, and DOC files.
Utilize expertise in AI prompt engineering to optimize prompt design for expected and actionable outcomes aligned with business objectives.
Work hands-on with machine learning frameworks and platforms such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, and Llama Index to implement, optimize, and maintain AI pipelines including data preprocessing, model training, and evaluation.
Optimize generative AI models for improved scalability, performance, and efficiency in production environments.
Develop clear technical documentation and presentations to communicate complex AI concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.
Drive the establishment of organizational best practices and standards for responsible generative AI development.
Identify and track KPIs to measure AI solutions’ impact on healthcare workflows including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), summarization, content generation, and data extraction.
Stay current on regulatory and compliance standards related to AI applications in US healthcare and insurance sectors.
Required Skills
At least 1+ years of full-stack engineering experience, proficient in C# and Python.
Strong background in software architecture, API integration, cloud services deployment, authentication, and monitoring.
Experience deploying AI systems in enterprise production environments, with exposure to computer vision, NLP, self-supervised learning, transfer learning, or reinforcement learning preferred.
Familiarity with vector databases like Pinecone for efficient information storage and retrieval.
Solid understanding of natural language generation, transformers, LLMs, and text embeddings.
Practical experience using ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, and Llama Index.
Programming skills in C, C++, Java, or Python with a strong grasp of data structures and algorithms.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking capabilities to create innovative AI solutions.
Effective communication skills to translate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to thrive independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrixed organizational structure.
Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.
Knowledge of IT monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, and ServiceNow.
Familiarity with defining KPIs for generative AI applications such as RAG-based Q&A, summarization, and text content generation.
Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements governing AI usage in the US health insurance domain.
Prior experience in the healthcare or health technology sector is a significant advantage but not mandatory.
